Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how the TAGS.WORLD platform and its products handle personal data. It is intended to provide one central privacy framework for TAGS.WORLD services, including TAGS.INDEX, TAGS.MENU and future TAGS.WORLD applications.

1. Platform operator

The TAGS.WORLD platform is operated by:

{{LEGAL_COMPANY_NAME}}
{{REGISTERED_ADDRESS}}
{{COMPANY_REGISTRATION_NUMBER}}
{{VAT_ID_IF_APPLICABLE}}
Email: info@tags.world

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the central TAGS.WORLD platform and to services operated as part of the TAGS.WORLD product family, including TAGS.INDEX and TAGS.MENU.

Individual customers may operate their own Business Web-Apps, digital menus, profiles or other public services using TAGS.WORLD technology. These customer services may be published under a TAGS.WORLD product domain or under the customer's own domain.

3. TAGS.WORLD and customer responsibilities

TAGS.WORLD provides the technical platform, infrastructure and related services required to operate TAGS.WORLD products.

Customers remain responsible for the business information, content, offers, legal notices and other information they publish through their own Business Web-App or other TAGS.WORLD-powered service.

Using an Own Domain does not by itself change this allocation of responsibilities.

Where TAGS.WORLD processes personal data solely on documented instructions from a customer, TAGS.WORLD may act as a data processor on behalf of that customer.

Where TAGS.WORLD processes data for its own purposes, including account administration, contractual communication, billing, platform security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention or legal compliance, TAGS.WORLD acts as the responsible controller for that processing.

4. Categories of personal data

Depending on the product and how it is used, we may process:

5. Customer Business Web-Apps

TAGS.INDEX enables customers to operate Business Web-Apps under a TAGS.INDEX address and, where activated, under their own domain. The underlying application and data infrastructure may continue to be provided centrally by TAGS.WORLD.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of the business information and customer-facing content that the customer publishes.

Where a visitor submits an inquiry to a customer's Business Web-App, that inquiry may be processed technically by TAGS.WORLD and made available to the relevant customer.

6. Analytics and consent

Some TAGS.WORLD products may offer optional analytics to understand how a service is used and to improve performance.

Where consent is legally required, optional analytics are intended to be activated only after the visitor has given the required consent. A visitor may reject optional analytics without losing access to the core Business Web-App.

7. Technical data and security

When TAGS.WORLD services are accessed, technical information may be processed as necessary to deliver and secure the service. This can include IP address, request time, requested resource, browser information, device information and security-related log data.

Such processing may be necessary for service delivery, security, abuse prevention and technical troubleshooting.

8. Payments

Where paid TAGS.WORLD products or upgrades are purchased, payment processing may be handled by an external payment provider presented during checkout. TAGS.WORLD does not need to receive complete payment-card credentials where those credentials are processed directly by the payment provider.

9. Service providers and subprocessors

TAGS.WORLD may use specialized infrastructure, hosting, payment, communications, analytics, security and technology providers to operate its services.

A current list of relevant subprocessors and service providers should be maintained separately and incorporated into this framework before final legal approval.

10. International data transfers

Where a service provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, TAGS.WORLD will use the safeguards required for the relevant processing relationship where applicable.

11. Data retention

Personal data is retained only for as long as required for the relevant service, contractual relationship, legal obligation, security requirement or legitimate operational purpose. Different categories of data may therefore have different retention periods.

12. Legal bases

Depending on the processing activity, personal data may be processed because it is necessary for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests or because consent has been provided.

The exact legal basis depends on the specific processing activity and must be confirmed during legal review.

13. Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, individuals may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent.

Requests relating to TAGS.WORLD's own processing can be sent to: info@tags.world.

Where data is processed on behalf of a TAGS.WORLD customer, requests concerning that customer's processing may need to be addressed directly to the relevant customer.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when TAGS.WORLD products, processing activities, service providers or legal requirements change.
